Race Scheduling Logic#

Adapted from Annex 1 of the Specifications for the Flyball Open World Cup (FOWC)

Day 1 – Round Robin (RR)#

Groups: 15 groups of 5 teams (75 teams total)

Format: 3 heats per race, 10 races per group → 12 heats per team

Estimated Load: ~100 races per ring × 7 min = ~6h50 per ring

Day 2 – Double Elimination (DE)#

Divisions: Based on group rankings

Championship Division: Top 12 teams

Divisions 2–5: Remaining teams grouped by performance

Format: Best of 5 (BO5), ~86–90 races total

Estimated Load: ~6h20 per ring
